Boudoir Photography in East Grinstead

Boudoir Photography in East Grinstead

This lady came to visit my studio in East Grinstead, West Sussex for a boudoir photography session with a vintage pinup feel and she brought along the most amazing collection of fifties styled outfits and shoes.  Honestly, I was so spoiled for choice as to what to photograph her in first – talk about a kid in a candy store!

Anyway, her outfits were so bright and colourful, we decided to show them off against some vintage high colour backdrops – I just love the acid yellow against the turquoise beach styled play suit and the candy pink with the retro rocket print wiggle dress. Stylish and glamorous from top to toe with a fun fifties vibe.

Of course, you don’t have get retro to enjoy your boudoir photo shoot.  It’s a session that’s all about you so you just need to wear whatever makes you feel totally fabulous and that will come across in the finished images.  You don’t need to walk in and strip straight down to your lingerie either (although you can if you like!), one of your looks can be simply classic in a cocktail dress (or vintage frock in this lady’s case) or relaxed and casual in a jeans and shirt.  It’s a great way to warm up into your session, plus you will still be getting great images of yourself.  Add in hair and make up for that extra pamper factor or come as you’d like to be photographed – like I say, it’s all about you!

I am a professional Creative ~ Photographer, Videographer, Cinematographer and Drone Pilot My professional photographic career started at the tender age of 13 when I won my first commission to photograph an art collection by a local artist. It paid £50 which was reasonable money for an ambition 13 year old in 1978. I have continued to take pictures ever since, and quite simply, I couldn’t be happier! I am professionally qualified with the British Institute of Professional Photography (BIPP).
