Spring time is my favourite moment of the year – the long winter nights are over and life is busting out all over with plants coming into bloom and springtime bulbs.

For springtime shoots you really want to be wearing either layered clothes or have some quick changes of outfit. Spring can flip from warm to cold so easily. So bring gorgeous springtime scarves and cardigans simply in case.

For colours you want to go for pinks, blues, greens and darker creams. Try and keep your family coordinated if you can. If all else fails go for denim. A family wearing jeans always looks coordinated and it is a simple, undistracting look. For spring props it might be a bunch of daisy’s, a butterfly net or even a picnic hamper.

Oh, remember those April showers too – bring umbrellas to be on the safe side. Actually rainy photographs can look really great!
