Product Table Photography

Professional photography comes in many guises, sometimes it is babies and young children, others times it fine art and boudoir…. Then when it comes to commercial photography it can be 750 very expensive antique fly fishing rods and reels!

Fish and Fly Ltd recently acquired a job lot of fishing equipment which was destined for sale on their web store and yes, they need to be photographed professionally. The shoot took 24 hours (just the photography bit) and I needed the talents of a chiropractor afterwards, given the toll it took on my back shooting for 8 hours straight, standing in my purpose built product studio surrounded buy crates of the gear.

Client was very happy with the results, and the process should you have trouble sleeping, was caught on my new fascination of Time Lapses… See video above.

About the Author:

I am a professional Creative ~ Photographer, Videographer, Cinematographer and Drone Pilot My professional photographic career started at the tender age of 13 when I won my first commission to photograph an art collection by a local artist. It paid £50 which was reasonable money for an ambition 13 year old in 1978. I have continued to take pictures ever since, and quite simply, I couldn’t be happier! I am professionally qualified with the British Institute of Professional Photography (BIPP) and the Society of Wedding & Portrait Photographers (SWPP), and also the Masters Photographer Association (MPA), although I have recently decided to give up my membership of the MPA in favour of the other two associations.
